No-exam life insurance

Which applicants get accelerated approval, the process involved, and what happens for those who do not qualify.

Most carriers provide accelerated underwriting: for applicants meeting age and coverage limits, decisions rely on application information, prescription records, driving history, and other records rather than a medical exam. Approvals can arrive within hours. Every quote shown here notes whether exams are required, possible, or not needed.

What it changes

Accelerated approval still requires underwriting—your answers get checked. If a policy is issued based on false information, insurers can challenge it within the first two years. Should their own data create questions, they might still request tests or exams; you will then choose how to proceed.

Who tends to qualify

Generally those under about 60, requesting coverage within the carrier's accelerated threshold, with no significant health issues and no tobacco for a year or longer. If your doctor recently drew blood work, some carriers may use those results rather than requiring an exam.

Should exams be needed, they typically involve a 20-30 minute paramedical visit at your home or workplace in the Desert Hot Springs region, with no cost to you. For health applicants, exam results frequently boost your rate classification, so they often work in your favor.
